Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly began negotiations with Spanish club Espanyol over the transfer of defender Aaron Martin.
According to ESPN, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has sent representatives to watch the 20-year-old left-back many times.
But the Red Devils will have to pay the sum £35.5 million which is said to be the asking price for the player by Spanish club Espanyol.
Mourinho has been looking for a left-back for months and has also been plotting a swoop for Barcelona's Jordi Alba and Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon.
Martin has come through the ranks at Espanyol and has so far made 30 League appearances for the club.
