The Ghana social media space was thrown into quite the frenzy on Tuesday, following a birthday wish tweeted at dancehall artiste Shatta Wale by President Akufo-Addo.

The official presidential Twitter account wished the Shatta Movement overlord a happy birthday, and invited him to the presidential palace, in pidgin.

This hilarious and unusual use of the language by a president drew mixed reactions from Ghanaians who were shocked by the birthday wish.
