A respected Ghanaian politician and business tycoon, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom has been accused of being the most corrupt football administrator in Ghana.
According to a class one referee who wants to remain anonymous, the owner of Elmina Sharks Football Club offers the highest bribe to officiating officials in Ghana football.
The referee says the business man bribes division one clubs officials with as much as GHc6,000 for matches to turn the matches in his favor.
“I have colleagues who take these monies from his club even now in the Premier league and he pays depending on the opponent he plays at a time”, the referee exposed.
The Division One referee speaking on Asempa FM in Accra, insisted that he is surprised at the posture of the politician in condemning football corruption while he has resorted to sorting out officials to win matches.
He added that many club administrators including Dr Nduom, contact referees upon arrival at match venues and give them these monies as transportation and not at the request of the referees.
The referee indicated that he is ever ready to make himself available to assist the appropriate bodies conduct a thorough investigation to expose more of such administrators destroying Ghana football with corruption.
Dr Nduom recently came out to openly condemn corruption in Ghana football. He also accused the Ghana Football Association (GFA) of sitting unconcerned while corrupt elements collapse football in Ghana.
