Reports reaching YEN.com.gh indicate that a tree has fallen on a commercial bus just in front of the East Legon Branch of KFC.
The accident is believed to have been caused by the heavy rains which started some few hours ago which was preceded by powerful wind.
The accident is believed to have caused some traffic along that stretch of the road. The Ghana National Fire Service and other security agencies have responded to distress calls and are already at the scene trying to save the situation.
It is yet to be ascertained if there has been any casualty after the tree fell on the car. However, some people are believed to be trapped inside the cars that have been affected.
Security agencies are working around the clock to get both the tree and car off the road to allow other commuters passage.
We would advise all those who use that road to be very careful. We would also update you on happenings as and when we receive more information from the accident scene.
