Some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), vigilante group Delta Force have been served a fine of about GHc23,400 fine by Kumasi Circuit Court.
The 13 members of the group are to pay GHc1, 800 fine each or in default, serve 12 months imprisonment.
The group members were arrested April this year, after they stormed the Ashanti Regional Security Council and assaulted the Regional Security Coordinator in a protest.
The Circuit Court also committed all the 13 members of the group to sign a 12-month bond to be of good behavior.
The accused persons were initially facing charges of conspiracy to assault a public officer, and causing unlawful damage.
However the charges were reviewed to only rioting by the Circuit Court.
The embattled members of the group pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit crimes and rioting and were convicted to the fine on their plea.
