Mesut Ozil has reportedly told Arsenal team-mates that he will be joining Manchester United after failing to agree fresh terms on his contract which expires next summer.
The Sun reports that the German is confident of a reunion with former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho with Old Trafford his preferred destination.
Arsene Wenger has already admitted his side could be forced to sell the player in January and that looks increasingly likely.
The Mirror also reported that Mourinho believes having Ozil in his United squad would bolster his chances of winning the Premier League title.
Ozil's wage demands are believed to be just above the £300,000-a-week mark and Old Trafford chiefs are willing to pay that.
Arsenal have already offered Ozil - as well as fellow contract rebel Alexis Sanchez - wages of £275,000-a-week.
The German international is believed to want £350,000-a-week to remain in North London.
