Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as award-winning dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, celebrated his birthday this week, with the help of his fan base in Nima.
Shatta Wale on Thursday, thronged the Nima market and surrounding streets with his crew to spend time with his beloved fans.
There was a mammoth crowd of eager Shatta Movement enthusiasts who surrounded his vehicles to catch a glimpse of the musician.
Accompanied by his long-time girlfriend, Shatta Michy, the dancehall artiste interacted and took photos with several market women and residents.
At one point it became difficult for the crowd to be controlled as many eager followers of the artiste tried to grab hold of him in their excitement.
The dancehall king also sprayed on all who were present with money, much to the loud cheers and delight of everyone.
In the video posted by Ghanaweb.com, the artiste had to be ushered back to his car after the crowd’s excitement reached its peak.
Shatta Wale turned 33 on Tuesday, and received lots of good wishes, the most popular of which was the President's pidgin message to the dancehall artiste.
In pidgin English, the Twitter account of President Akufo-Addo wished Shatta Wale a happy birthday, and invited him to visit the Flagstaff House as well.
