Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known in the showbiz industry as Bulldogg has advised Patapaa and management to charge befitting prices for their services when they are called upon.
The comment made by the Bullhaus CEO comes on the heels of reports that were circulating in the media that the “One Corner” hit maker was being offered a meagre GHc 1,000 for his services in the upcoming Radio and Television Personalities Awards.
Godfred Bokpin, the manager of Patapaa revealed that his artiste had been offered GHc 1,000 to perform at the event but he turned it down because he felt it was not befitting of his artiste.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, the former manager of Shatta Wale indicated that the alleged amount that had been offered initially for Patapaa’s service was a ‘disgrace’ to the artiste.
He went on to say that the artiste should charge GHc 10,000 or GHc 20,000 before he agreed to show up at the Radio and Television Personalities Awards ceremony to perform.
He indicated that he was an advocate for better remuneration for artistes so he was strongly against the GHc 1,000 that was initially proposed.
Bulldogg went on to lambast all the critics of the song which is arguably the most popular song in the country at the moment. He advised the management of the artiste to take advantage of the hype the song has garnered on its own and endeavor to make the musician a global icon.
Bulldogg has tipped the artiste to sweep a number of awards in the next Ghana Music Awards including Artiste of the Year, Popular Song of the Year and New Artiste of the Year.
