-President Nana Akufo-Addo joined many people at the forecourt of the State House to mourn Highlife legend, Paapa Yankson.

The funeral ceremony for legendary Highlife musician, Paapa Yankson is currently under way at the forecourt of the State House in Accra with many people, both young and old in attendance.
Among those in attendance is President Nana Akufo-Addo who paid a glowing tribute to the late Paapa Yankson upon his death in July.
Accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, Creative Arts, and Culture, Catherine Afeku and other members of his government President Akufo-Addo paid his last respect to the iconic musician.
Other prominent personalities at the funeral include General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
As expected the Musicians Union ogf Ghana (MUSIGA) was ably represented with the current President Bice Osei Kuffour, known in showbiz as Obour leading the team.
Some musicians at the event include Pat Thomas, Rex Omar, Yaw Sarpong, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, A.B. Crentsil, Nana Ampadu and Ben Brako.
Born Benjamin Akono Kofi Yankson, Paapa Yankson died at 78 years after batttling with illness.
