Experienced boxer Ayittey Powers has just waded into the viral news relating to the defeat of his arch rival, Braimah Kamoko, popularly referred to as Bukom Banku and it has become the ‘next big thing’.
In a video recorded on Facebook, Ayittey Pwers who appeared very livid indicated that the deafeat to his rival was an excellent work of Karma.
The boxer who was captured speaking in native Ga, he expressed how Bukom Banku had finally met his proverbial ‘Waterloo’.
He was noted as saying, “Bukom Banku has met his meter”, to wit, Bukom Banku has fiannly faced an opponent who outclassed him in the ring.
Yesterday, Bukom Banku received a drabbing from former captain of the Black Bombers, Samir Bastie in a highly anticioated bout dubbed “Make or Break”.
Bukom Banku was handed his first loss as a professional boxer and it came by way of a Technical Knockout in Round 7 inside a filled Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
Prior to the bout, Bukom Banku had promised to defeat his opponent in Round 6 but he ended up being the sent onto the mat with a bloodied face and a dazed composure in the 7th Round.
The bout which had received a lot of hype was attended by high-powered personalities including former captain of the Black Stars, Stephen Appiah. Musician Mzbel also put in a splendid performance on the night.
The rivalry between Bukom Banku and Ayitey Powers goes a long way back and both boxers had to finally settle their differences in the ring twice.
Bukom Banku came out on top in both occasions proving his ‘superiority over Ayitey Powers.
