Two early goals from Harry Kane and Heung Son-Min helped Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur side overcome Liverpool 4 - 1 at Wembley.
Kane got behind Dejan Lovren to dribble past Simon Mignolet and score in just the fourth minute of the game.
Son doubled the lead ten minutes later with a thumping shot after he was fed in from the left.
Jurgen Klopp took the initiative to change things as he moved from a 4 - 3 - 3 to a 3-4-3 by removing the porous Dejan Lovren and bringing in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Mohammed Salah would pull one back in the 24th minute as Liverpool stepped up their game in the search of an equalizer.
Dele Alli whould however make it three on the stroke of half-time with a simple tap in after he was fed in by the impressive Kane.
