Harry Kane stages world-class performance as Spurs demolish Liverpool at Wembley

- Harry Kane scored his 38th goal of the year as Liverpool lost 4 - 1

- Heung Son-Min scored and hit the post within the first 15 minutes

- Spurs remain third on the log level on points with Manchester United

Two early goals from Harry Kane and Heung Son-Min helped Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham Hotspur side overcome Liverpool 4 - 1 at Wembley.

Kane got behind Dejan Lovren to dribble past Simon Mignolet and score in just the fourth minute of the game.

Though Liverpool would enjoy the possession after the restart, Kane made it four in the 56th minute after the Reds failed to clear their lines.

Eriksen's freekick was punched unto the path of Jan Verthogen whose shot was blocked on the line to the path of Kane who slotted it home.

Jurgen Klopp's side would have three chances to pulled another back; first Coutinho's trademark shot was saved by Lloris.

Pochettino's side are now third on the log but level on points with Manchester United who they face next after nine games and 20 points.
