Undefeated boxer Bastie Samir says he has no problem stepping into the ring again with Bukom Banku for a rematch.
The Bukom Boxing Arena was the venue when two of the best boxers on the local scene fought for the bragging rights.
Unfortunately, Bukom Banku saw his unbeaten record ended, with Bastie emerging victors in the seventh round.
The North-based boxer started the bout slowly but rose back to life in the third round to lead an onslaught which culminated in the knockout.
Many have ascribed so many reasons to Bukom Banku's loss, with certain quarters also calling for a rematch to be staged between both boxers.
However, Bastie believes he would defeat Bukom Banku on any day and has welcomed calls for a rematch.
"No problem I'm good, I’m always ready, so if wants a rematch I will give him that.
“... I know Bukom Banku is a strong boxer, a great fighter and I won’t take it from him, but I know I'm stronger and better than him. I know he can beat someone again.
Bastie added, “My coach trained me very well, we never came for a knockout but we said if the chance comes we would take it and that was what we did.
“... He [Bukom Banku] said round six but I told him to pray hard because he won’t last after round 6. I even told him once I’m here, I have arrived.”
Both boxers walked away with a sum of GHc 1000,000 with Bastie again taking home a cheque of GHc for winning the trophy.
