The major thing that most Ghanaians are talking about is the shocking defeat of Bukom Banku at the “Make or Break” bout with his fiercest contender, Bastie Samir.
This bout, which caught international attention lasted 7 rounds after Bastie produced the performance of his career to defeat Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku. The win extends Bastie's undefeated record to 16-0.
Bastie Samir made his first public appearance at Joy FM in Kokomlemle when he offered his very first exclusive interview on the Super Morning show with Kojo Yankson.
When asked how he was faring after the bout, Bastie revealed that he is still recovering from the effects of the blows from Bukom Banku.
Meanwhile, Bastie has revealed he is open for a rematch with Bukom Banku should he request for a rematch.
“I know Bukom Banku is a strong boxer, a great fighter and I won’t take it from him, but I know I'm stronger and better than him. I know he can beat someone again,” he added
The Mayor of Accra presented a five thousand Cedi cheque to Bastie Samir for winning the fight. The two boxers were subjected to receive GHS100,000 cedis each whether win or lose.
