Ghananian boxer Bukom Banku, known in real life as Braimah Kamoko has indicated that among all the people jubilating over him after his Round 7 Knockout to Samir Bastie, his mother was the person he least expected to join them.
The 37-year old boxer revealed that he was astounded to see his mother jubilate over his defeat to Samir Bastie.
He indicated that many women in his locality were beaming with smiles when they saw him the day after the bout.
He said he thought it was only natural to see his mother consoling him for the defeat but her reaction to his loss rather surprised him.
The boxer admitted that he had received a sound beating from his opponent in the ring but he went on to add that he was not going to stop bragging about himself.
He consoled himself with the fact that even the former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama had lost the 2016 General Elections to NPP’s Akufo-Addo.
Bukom Banku, who prior to his fight with Samir Bastie had not tasted defeat in the ring with an incredible record of 30 fights to his credit.
Samir Bastie, who is believed to be a former captain of Ghana’s Black Bombers managed to stop Bukom Banku in the 7th Round of the highly-attended bout.
Bastie had promised to knock Bukom Banku out in the 3rd Round but he had insinuated that Bukom Banku was stronger than he had imagined.
