Agona Swedru-based music producer, Peter Morgan Wright aka Mr Loyalty has revealed that new reigning Ghanaian artiste, Patapaa Amisty has shown gross disrespect to him.
According to the producer, he recorded the ‘One Corner’ song for Patapaa for a paltry fee of GHC20 with an arrangement that Patapaa will come back to pay homage when things go well with his music career.
Mr Loyalty says he was forced to record the artiste since he [Patapaa] had nothing in hand despite his numerous calls and appeals for support.
The Producer who was clearly not happy told Andy Dosty on Hitz FM that the young artiste has turned his back on him within a short time after the rise to fame.
He says he recorded the song using his own resources and had to even write the rap lines to make the whole song complete.
“Patapaa said please help me and I will never forget you. He gave me 20 cedis for the song. Aside One Corner, we have about four songs and he convinced me to be part of his life but he is betraying me today”, Mr Loyalty lamented.
Mr loyalty is therefore demanding GH₵1500 from Patapaa as settlement for his intellectual property.
‘One Corner’ song is currently the biggest hit, which is enjoying massive airplay in Ghana and beyond.
Its dance craze has dominated various social media platforms making it even more popular in neighboring Nigeria.
The artiste has also played at couple shows but in spite of all these, Patapaa says he is yet to reap the fruits of his labor.
