Ghanaian boxer Ayittey Powers who doubles as the arch rival of popular boxer Bukom Banku showed off his wife for the very first time to the public when the couple went on a radio show to grant an exclusive interview.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Kasapa FM, Ayittey Powers who was gushing at the mention of his wife’s beauty indicated that he was a very lucky man to have her in his life.
Mavis is believed to own a shop located in Banana Inn, a suburb of Accra and deals in cosmetics, hair and hair products indicated that she took it upon herself to take care of her husband.
In narrating their love story, Mavis revealed that she met Ayittey Powers in 2009 at Lapaz and they struck an acquaintance leading to their relationship and eventual marriage.
She said she fell in love with the boxer because he was tall. Ayittey Powers also revealed that at the time of meeting Mavis, he did not have a dime to his name and even struggled to get food to eat.
She indicated that she was a past student of the Accra Technical University and studied Fashion Designing during her time as a student.
After the defeat of Bukom Banku to Bastie Samir, Ayittey Powers was captured in a vide aying that Bukom Banku had finally met with his proverbial ‘Waterloo’.
Ayittey Powers and Bukom Banku who are known as fierce boxing rivals have had the chance to settle their differences in the boxing ring twice. On both occasions, Bukom Banku was declared winner by the judges.
Ayittey Powers is noted to have spent most of his career life in Australia, he is also known for his colorful hairstyle.
