The Ghana Police Service has received a donation from the Cedar Hill Police in Texas, USA.
According to a Facebook post on Ghana Police page, the items they received included 23 bullet proof vests and other accessories.
The police administration further noted that donation was facilitated by Reginald Agyemang, an American Police officer of the Cedar Hill Police who grew up in Ghana.
He noted that the donation is a way of giving back to his motherland, Ghana.
The Director/ Public Affairs, DSP/Mrs. Sheila Kessie Abayie-Buckman received the items on behalf of the Ghana Police Service at a short ceremony organized at the premises of the Formed Police Unit, Tesano, Accra.
The Ghana Police Service (GPS) is the main law enforcement agency of Ghana. The service is under the control of the Ghanaian Ministry of the Interior, and employs over 30,000 officers across its 651 stations.
