In light of the recent media reports regarding budding actress Clara Benson, popularly known as Maame Serwaa, the management of the actress reached out to YEN.com.gh for an exclusive interview.
Mark Tetteh, the manager of the actress, indicated that his client was not in any way involved in a relationship with the names that are circulating on social media.
He went on to reveal that rumours linking Maame Serwaa to Bill Asamoah, Starboi Mingle and rapper Awal were all ‘fake’ news put out to drive traffic to some websites.
He said some bloggers take it upon themselves to read meanings into pictures that are posted by the actress.
Tetteh said his client had spent over 10 years building and shaping her brand but it appeared that some bloggers were out to tarnish the image of Maame Serwaa by portraying her as a ‘bad girl’.
According to him, when some of the fake news went viral, some of her fans, including her pastor, kept calling to verify the claims.
He said Maame Serwaa and her entire team were upset by the turn of events, warning that they would take legal action against blogger who publish false news about the actress.
He wondered why some bloggers could not project a positive image about his client to the general public but were all about fake news and allegations.
Tetteh added that although the actress had a lot of positive projects in the works, the media had chosen to ride on fake news which unfortunately gets a lot of attention.
He highlighted the fact that the burgeoning actress was embarking on a girl child education project to empower young, needy but brilliant girls.
The manager entreated fans of the popular actress not to pay heed to the false news making rounds in the media, but to keep supporting the actress who, he said, would make all of them proud.
He also revealed that the actress had relocated to Accra to enable her embark on some projects, build on her career and also pursue her education at the tertiary level.
