A much changed Manchester United side traveled to Wales to face Swansea City at the Liberty stadium.
Jose Mourinho made changes following United's shocking defeat at the hands of Huddersfield last weekend.
The Red Devils started brightly with the front three of Antonio Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard giving the Swansea defence a lot to worry about.
And just 21 minutes into the game Lingard gave United the lead with a superb flick after Rashford set him up for a one on one with the keeper. The young forward cooly slotted the ball past Swansea's goalie Nordfeldt.
The second half started almost the same way the first half started with United putting a lot of pressure on the Swansea defence.
The second goal for the Red Devils came in the 59th minute, Darmian's superb cross was met by Lingard who expertly headed past Nordfeldt.
Mourinho brought in Lukaku and Matic in the second half to give them some game time ahead of United's crunch tie against Spurs at the weekend.
Manchester United have now booked their place to the next round of the Carabao Cup, a Cup they are looking to defend haven won it last season, they can now look to bounce back from last weekend's defeat against Huddersfield in the Premier League against to Spurs on Saturday, October 28.
