-The youth group are accusing DCE of working against the interest of the NPP
- They say he is not corporating with the NPP Constituency Chairman
Some irate youth group affiliated to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), at Karaga in the Northern Region have chased out Alhassan Yabdow, the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area.
The group also hurled the Youth Employment Coordinator from his office and angrily burned down one motorbike in the process.
According to the group, their DCE is not working in the interest of the NPP, therefore they are calling for his immediate removal.
The youth also accused the DCE for not corporating with the NPP party Constituency Chairman, Tahiru Zakaria.
Reports say the attack took place on Wednesday, at dawn and the group have completely locked up the office of the DCE.
Speaking on Accra-based Adom FM, Abdul Rahaman Alhassan, the leader of the group claimed that the Youth Employment Coordinator is selective in giving appointments.
They also accused the Coordinator of being a sympathizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Meanwhile, the youth have also threatened to attack the District Assembly but the police have not made any arrest yet.
