According to information obtained from www.3news.com, Mubarik arrived at a police station, dressed in military attire and proceeded to hand over a suspect to the police.

He reportedly claimed that he was a military officer with the 6BN Regiment in Tamale.

Per the facts presented to the police, he alleged that the suspect stole his motorcycle some time ago.

He was, therefore, asked to write a statement, in line with regular procedure.

His conduct, however, raised suspicion, and after investigations, it was revealed that he was not a military officer.

He later confessed that the uniform belonged to his late grandfather.

Mubarik was consequently sent to his apartment, where military accoutrements as well as some forged documents were discovered.

Most of the items bore the name of “A. Mubarik”, his grandfather.

Police say the matter is still under investigations and that suspect would be arraigned before a court soon.

The charges, according to the police, are likely to be illegal possession of military accoutrements and impersonation.
