- Dr Bawumia will be meeting investors to sell Ghana as a top investment destination in Africa
The vice president of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, is currently in Oslo, Norway, to represent Ghana at an International Business Summit.
Dr Bawumia who is a special guest, on Thursday, delivered a keynote speech at the 7th Nordic-African Business Summit.
The Summit is a leading Nordic business and investor conference which focuses exclusively on the African markets.
The summit is also to engage Nordic companies to reposition their investment portfolio and as well as pay more attention in transforming Africa through business.
Dr Bawumia, addressing a gathering at the conference, stated that Ghana is re-positioning itself in developing well-educated citizens endowed with knowledge and creative capabilities of its emerging generation.
He also stressed that Africa has about 41 percent of its population below the age of 15 years and 60 percent below 25 years.
This, he said, meant that developing the skills and knowledge capacity of Africa’s youth is a matter of urgency that all countries must tackle on the continent.
