- Nana Addo wants to make Ghana an aviation hub within West Africa
- He says Ghana will be a preferred destination of choice for travelers soon
President Nana Akufo-Addo on Wednesday joined the graduation parade of Ghana Immigration Service Cadet Officers in the Central Region.
The president together with some state officials were at the Immigration Academy and Training School at Assin Fosu.
President Nana Addo who was Special Guest of Honor, urged the new Cadet Officers to maintain high levels of discipline and also strive to not compromise on their professional ethics.
Nana Addo in his address indicated that it is the vision of his administration to establish Ghana as an aviation hub within West Africa, and as the preferred destination of choice for travelers.
“It is for this reason that government has taken the decision to open all our borders to operate for twenty-four hours. This will boost trade and tourism, and then we can reap the economic benefits,” the President said.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) leader insisted that his government is determined to ensure that the open-border policy adopted by his administration since June this year, will not undermine the country’s economy.
