Yesterday, October 25, mobile phone giants, Tecno Mobile launched the latest addition to their number of phones at a press gathering held at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra.

The launch was attended by staff of the company, esteemed media personalities and companies, mobile phone dealers and some selected members of the public.

The Phantom 8 which is the latest addition to the company is believed to be an improvement on the previous phones manufactured by the company.

The phone boasts of two rear cameras with 12 and 13 megapixels respectively. According to Daniel Glover of Tecno Ghana, the 6 gigabyte ROM of the new phone allows the user to open over 80 applications at a time with no issue with lagging. He added that the phone ha a fingerprint sensor and boasts of Global connectivity.

He revealed that the phone had gone through a lot of processes to come out with the final design. It was revealed that the phone could go for more than 3 days after a single charge which lasts no more than 70 minutes.

Engineer Kenneth Ashigbey, who was the special guest of honor at the launch lauded the mobile phone company for their cutting edge technology used to design the phone.

The launch saw partners, MTN and Star Times representatives give their talk on how their partnership with the mobile phone company was going to boost the sale of the Phantom 8. An executive of Star Times, Akorfa, indicated that the new phone already had the Star Times app loaded on it to give users optimum experience.

The highlight of the phone was its advanced camera which had multiple functions. It was based on the advanced camera of the Phantom 8 that led to the coinage of the slogan, “Capture your legend”.

During the launch, one Tecno phone dealer and a media personality walked away with brand new Phantom 8 handsets after a lucky dip draw was held.
