Fire has ravaged the Astra FM radio station in the Brong Ahafo Region, reducing all its equipment to ashes.

The fire began at about 7:30pm on Thursday, according to a report by mynewsgh.com
It is said to have started raging just after the evening announcements had been read.
According to an official of the station, the fire started from the transmission room and spread very quickly.
"We immediately called in the fire service but before they arrived nothing could be saved. They however managed to douse the inferno”, he said..
The official said he did not suspect any foul play, but would wait for the preliminary findings to be released by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
