From the alleged use of GHC 2 million to fund a ‘research project’ to the musicians complaining of their needs not being met, it seems trying times lay ahead for the union’s leadership.

Popular hiplife artiste, Akoo Nana, this week went a step further in an attempt to “expose” the rot at the union’s headquarters.

In a video posted to his Facebook page, the musician had stormed the MUSIGA studios in hopes of using the facility, but was rather met with broken down instruments and a makeshift studio that left much to be desired.

Akoo Nana, visibly furious by the sight before him, ranted about Obuor’s lack of direction and failure to manage the union that voted for him.

Akoo Nana was saddened by the deplorable state of the premises, demanding Obuor to come forward and explain why the MUSIGA studio lacks the adequate resources for the members of the union.

The musician was later spotted at a police station, apparently having been reported for bursting into the studios and recording a video of the premises.

Akoo Nana is not the first industry stakeholder to express disappointment in the state of the music industry as dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has for some time now, voiced his opinions on the sad state of the industry.

Recently, radio host Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), demanded that the MUSIGA president come forward and give an account of how GHC 2 million was used to conduct research.

According to him, there is no proof that the money spent has benefited the musicians in the union.
