Youths calling themselves Party Royals, a pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, has interfered with the election of a presiding member of the Adeiso District Assembly.
A report by Citifmonline has it that youths belonging to a pro NPP group have disrupted the elections of a Adieso District Assembly, and allegedly assaulted members of the district assembly.
According to reports, the youths' discontent stem from the perception that their preferred candidate for a position in the assembly is being unfairly denied of the opportunity.
According to witnesses, the youths entered the venue and began identifying members of the district assembly, after which they began beating them.

“They came in and identified some assembly members they claim did not vote for the party’s preferred candidate, and started slapping them, hitting them, which caused other members to run for their lives. The police officers were outnumbered and overpowered.” Said a witness.
This comes after Mr. Sammy Awuku stated that security agencies' inability to deal with instances of vigilante violence causes the president much distress.
