Akufo-Addo celebrates Ngmayem Festival with the people of Manya Krobo
- President Nana Addo called on the Chiefs and the people to stay united

President Nana Akufo-Addo together with some top government officials on Friday joined the Chiefs and the People of Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region to celebrate the Ngmayem Festival.

The Manya Krobo Traditional Area celebrates the Ngmayem festival every year to commemorate abundant of harvest especially millet.
The festival is also to show gratitude and thanksgiving, as they acknowledge God’s providence in the previous years and request for his continuous bounty and protection in the coming years.

Nana Akufo Addo who graced this year’s celebration in an address urged the Chiefs and the people of Manya Krobo to put away their differences in spite of their political allegiances.
He also encouraged the Traditional Area to act in unity in order to lift up the fortunes of Krobo land.
“The primary task is yours, and I assure them that government will stand in full support with them, so we deliver progress and prosperity to all our people”, the President said.
