Kumasi Asante Kotoko were too hot for Accra Hearts of Oak to handle in the FA Cup final.
The Porcupine Warriors beat their arch-rivals by 3-1 at the Tamele Sports stadium Sunday.
Kotoko’s Sadick Adams was the man who made the headlines following his hat-trick which secured his club their 9th FA Cup trophy.
The 27-year-old scored the first goal inside the 90 seconds and added two more goals on the half-hour mark and on the stroke of half-time.
The Phobians got their consolation goal in the second half, courtesy captain, Thomas Abbey.
Kotoko have thus won bagged GH¢50,000 prize money as well as a place in the CAF Confederation Cup competition for next season.
For Hearts, despite being one of the sides to have won the competition most, The Phobians have not clinched the title since it was re-introduced in 2011. They have also not lifted any major trophy since 2009.
The two teams observed a minute silence before kickoff in memory of the late goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye.
