NPP Invincible Forces strike again; take over Techiman NADMO office

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), vigilante group have strike again in the Brong Ahafo region few weeks after some members of Delta Forces were fined by Kumasi Court.

According to reports, the Invincible Forces have completely seized the Techiman office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).

The Techiman NADMO Coordinator, Gibril Kesse disclosed to Accra-based Starr FM that some individuals suspected to be members of the Invincible Forces have currently locked up the office.

Gibril Kesse told Starr FM in an interview that the group stormed the NADMO office Monday morning and ordered his all his staff who had reported for duty to vacate the office.

“My staff were in the office this morning when these guys came in and told them to leave, and that they have come to take over. So my people left and they locked the place up and took the keys away,” Kesse said.

The illegal activities off the NPP vigilante group appears to be getting out of control despite all attempts by the Nana Akufo-Addo government to tame them.

In few weeks ago, a Kumasi Circuit court convicted 13 members of the Delta Force to Ghc23,400 fine after they attacked and assaulted Ashante Regional Security Coordinator some time back.

The development generated huge discussions with some prominent individuals including the Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rev. Emmanuel Asante and former President John Mahama condemning the group’s indiscipline.

Meanwhile, the Interior Minister Ambrose Dery has put his job on the line if he is unable to deal with the menace.

“I am going to do all I can to deal with the issue, I am committed to ensuring that I do not fail the President and the country. I’m prepared to pay the price if I don’t deliver, anybody can call for my head if I fail to deliver”, the minister vowed.
