- Popular rapper Snoop Dogg says the months he spent estranged from his wife was totally his fault
- The rapper opened up about the months of partial separation while speaking during an exclusive interview
- Snoop Dogg is currently married to Shante Broadus to whom he has been married to since 1997 aside from a slight hiccup in 2004
With one of the most commercially debut album releases, rapper Snoop Dogg shot to limelight with his 1993 Death Row Records released album.
The album was certified four times platinum a year after its release and his sophomore effort 'Tha Dogffather' was certified double platinum while debuting at number one on the Billboard chart.
Breaking from the norm of most Hip Hop rappers who go around with a slew of girls, Snoop Dogg has been a one-woman guy for most of his life.
The forty-six-year-old rapper started dating a woman named Shante Taylor during his high school years back in the eighties.
The pair wedded in 1997 and have three children together; sons Cordè and Cordell born in 1994 and 1997 respectively and a daughter Cori who was born in 1999.
Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus are still married although it hasn't always been peaches throughout the entirety of their marriage so far.
Back in 2004, the pair spent a couple of months estranged from each other with Snoop Dogg even filing for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper has conceded that the months he spent away from his wife were totally due to his fault and chalked it down to his infidelity.
He was quoted as saying,
'I cheated on her. That's the worst thing you could possibly do - lose somebody's trust who really loves you'.
Well, thankfully the pair have been able to get past those differences and have found a long lasting true love with each other.
