Award-winning TV host and comedian, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, is moving forward with her Leave to Live campaign against domestic violence.
Afia began this campaign not long after charges were filed against her estranged husband, Lawrence Abrokwah for assault and threat of harm, over an alleged cheating scandal.
Afia Schwar made a stop on her way to the 2017 RTP awards last weekend, to interact with the contestants of the Miss Nigeria Ghana ‘17, talking about domestic violence and how to walk away.
She spoke about how abusers slowly work their abusive traits into the relationship, and warned the ladies to note of the signs and the threats.
Afia Schwarzenegger is using her own experiences to educate people, women especially on abuse and toxic relationships,
A few days ago, she advised friends and family of women in abusive relationships to listen when the abused try to open up to them.
She wrote: “You don't have to wait to see scars or naked videos before admitting how serious the abuse is...Don't put your friendship with her spouse ahead of her safety...Abusive men are the ones that ACT love well, don't be fooled.
In our family Divorce is not an option nonsense must end, others are forced to stay because of the children but remember the children are the 1st reason why u must leave because they want you their mum alive n sound ....a lot of women are dying in the name of love..BREAK THE CIRCLE. LEAVE TO LIVE.”
