Young lady goes bald twice to show solidarity for breast cancer victims

The month of October this year was dedicated to create awareness on breast cancer among Ghanaian women and also push for women to take the bold initiative of having their breast screened at various health facilities.

One of the highlights of the commemoration however was the brave initiate of an Instagram beauty known as Lharley going completely bald to show her support to breast cancer victims and to encourage other women to go out in their numbers to have their breasts checked.

Her initiative did not seem to go down well with some people on social media but in a recent video posted on her Instagram page, the young lady indicated that she was not moved by the criticism and went on ahead to shave again to prove her unflinching support for the cause against breast cancer

She gave some statistics about the disease and the number of women who had been affected by the disease.

As part of the activities to mark the awareness month, many women were entreated to put on pink clothes to show support to victims of breast cancer.

Many female celebrities joined in on the awareness month and put in a word or two in support of the month-long campaign. Notable among the celebrities to commemorate the occasion was self-acclaimed queen of Ghana comedy, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger.

The TV show host and actress sported pink braids and also shared some words of encouragement to sufferers of the cancer.

There was also the “No Bra Day” which was marked by many women in Ghana. Notable among the celebrities to mark the celebration was Kumawood actress Tracey Boakye who recorded a video and posted it on her Instagram
