- Azumah Nelson was reportedly inspired by the decision of Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, to start an airline
- Information available shows that he is the process of obtaining the required documentation for that purpose
YEN.com.gh has learnt that boxing legend, Azumah Nelson, is about to start an airline in Ghana.
The former boxing champion is reported to have begun discussions with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) in that respect.
Information obtained from aviationghana.com reveals that the GCAA, expects boxing ‘professor’ to submit the required documents.
This would then give him the right to establish the airline.
Azumah Nelson’s intention to start an airline follows that of Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, who secured an Air Carrier License (ACL) for that same purpose.
Asamoah Gyan is reportedly working to secure an Air Operators Certificate (AOC) before launching his airline christened “Baby Jet Airlines”.
President Akufo-Addo, at the just-ended maiden Africa Air Expo, pledged his government’s support for local investors who venture into the aviation sector.
