Mr. Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has commented on why he did not mention the names of fellow artist, Yaa Pono and Samini, during his brief conversation with President Akufo Addo when he paid a visit to the Flagstaff House after being invited to on his birthday.
In a short video published by the Presidency, where Shatta Wale's finally seen meeting President Akuffo Addo and some presidential staffers, the "Dancehall King" is also seen speaking to the President about the appointment of an Ambassador for music in Ghana. This, according to Shatta Wale, is to enlighten the youth about the business aspect of music since that side of it is often overshadowed by the fun side of it.
Now some have asked how come the firebrand dance hall artist did not mention the names of other talented artist such as Yaa Pono and Samini - who he's known to have had "issues" with - in addition to his and Stonebwoy's during his tête-à-tête with the President.

Commenting on the subject during an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM's Drive on Okay, Shatta Wale expressed that the names of Samini and Pono will eventually "pop up", but that he is of the opinion that the current "era" belongs to Shatta, Stonebwoy, and Sarkodie.
“When I met the president, I thought since people see me as a fighter in the industry, I explained it to him that Stonebwoy and I as at this time can really talk to the youth of Ghana," said Shatta Wale.
