- Real Madrid are interested in the signing of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho
- The Spanish club want the Brazilian player to join the club in January 2018
- But the player is reportedly interested in joining Real's rivals Barcelona
Reigning Spanish and European League champions Real Madrid have reportedly joined their rivals Barcelona in serious race to sign Liverpool superstar Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian midfielder wanted to join Barcelona before the end of the last summer transfer, but his team Liverpool refused to do any business with the Spanish giants.
He is now determined to leave the Anfield club in January 2018, and he could be on his way to Barcelona, Real Madrid or French club Paris-Saint-Germain.
But according to the report by Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid have contacted Premier League club Liverpool over the availability of Philippe Coutinho which could cost Los Blancos £135 million.
Real Madrid want Coutinho to bolster their midfield next year in the defense of their La Liga and European League title, but they will face serious competition from Barcelona.
