In an ever-changing world, it is very important for one to be kept updated so that one doesn't totally fall completely off the loop.
Staying completely updated can be a challenge especially when you are one of the old school guys from the hood but it looks like actor and singer Jamie Foxx has the process down pat.
Eric Marlon Bishop popularly known as Jamie Foxx entered into the acting game pretty late as he didn't have his on-screen debut until he was thirty-one years of age.
The actor was originally a singer and a very good one at that scooping up multiple Grammy Awards and putting out four top ten albums before he delved into acting.
His sojourn as an actor has been pretty successful till date as he has added an Academy Award, a Golden Globe award and a BAFTA award to an already impressive award cabinet.
While speaking to Men's Health recently, Jamie Foxx did reveal that it can be a bit of a challenge staying up to date with the times and trends in an ever-changing world.
He explained that the trick was not to rely only on his judgment as he regularly seeks the opinion of people around him especially the younger generation.
The actor and singer was quoted as saying:
'One thing I’ve learned is you have to rely on someone to tell you what’s hot and what’s not as you get older. That’s what I do: I ask. I’m still learning how to stay current – and at the same time not lose who I am, not be too young.’
We think it is nice that Jamie Foxx is making a conscious effort to stay ahead of the times.
