Speaking about the issue of vililantism by some groups of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Awuni said the president needs “bold” advisers to be able to govern the country with proactivity.

He told Class FM: “[Nana Addo] has got to put together a group of people who will not be afraid to say: ‘Mr President let’s do this and let’s do it right".

“Not all these old men who are always kowtowing [to him]. Some people who are actually his age mates are behaving like messengers to him and I keep saying it and they fight me all the time, we’ve got to stop it.
