Livingstone Etse Satekla, known popularly as dancehall sensation Stonebwoy, has come a long way since his underground rapping days in the early 2000s.
Stonebwoy showed off his rap talent while he was in high school, and participated in a number of underground events, most notably Adom FM’s ‘Kasahare Level’ rap battle.
Stonebwoy’s stellar performance during the battle, caught the eye of the then dancehall king Samini, who signed him onto his Samini Music record label.
Since then, it has been nothing but success after success with the release favorite hit songs that rule the airwaves such as Ghetto Love, Baafira, Say it and Go higher.
YEN.com.gh came across a startling throwback photo of the dancehall guru in the years before he joined the list of the biggest music stars in Ghana.
The photo posted by blogger Ameyaw Debrah was taken in 2008 and showed Stonebwoy with his colleague dancehall artiste Shatta Wale (back then known as Bandana).
These photos are more than enough proof that working hard does pay off eventually, and gives us the inspiration we need to push forward.
