Award-winning journalist and TV show host, Nana Aba Anamoah has sent a message of appeal from some second hand clothes sellers at Makola Market to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In a video that was posted on her Instagram account and tagged to the president, some sellers in the Central Market District of Accra, popularly known as Makola bemoaned the rate at which the sun was scorching them everyday.
She captioned the video, “Whilst minding my business at the makola market, a few used clothes sellers forced me to record this appeal with my phone for @nakufoaddo”.
They relayed a message through the journalist to be delivered to the president to do something about the sun.
One trader who only gave his name as Philip indicated that since he could not benefit from the Free SHS policy of the president, he was making an appeal to the president to speak to Jesus to work out the high rays of the sun.
Nana Aba quizzed the young man how he intended for the president to resolve the issue. He replied in Twi, and said, “Akufo-Addo was the president so he knew what to do to get in touch with Jesus”
The TV personality indicated that she had to record the message of the market people on her phone to be able to pass the message on to the president.
