- City boss Pep Guardiola wants the 23-year-old star to add more value to his midfield
Current Premier League leaders Manchester City have reportedly entered the race to sign Liverpool and German midfielder Emre Can.
The 23-year-old player has just a year left to run on his current deal with the Reds and is expected to depart Merseyside after a four-season stay with Juventus vying for his signature.
But according to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, the Citizens are preparing an offer that will supersede the Old Lady's offer of £4 million-a-year plus bonuses.
The report also stated that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has told the club's chiefs that Emre Can will boost his midfield next summer.
