Former President John Mahama showed his kind side over the weekend, when he called on veteran Ghanaian actor and comedian, Asonaba Kwaku Darko, popularly known as Super OD.
The 82-year-old actor who lives in Agona Swedru, has been out of the limelight in recent years, and has been warding off an illness.

Following, the National Democratic Congress’ Unity Walk in Cape Coast on Saturday, Former President John Mahama, along with other executive members of the party, stopped by the ailing actor’s residence.
The Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, Allotey Jacobs, who accompanied the former president also made a hearty donation of an undisclosed amount to Super OD.
Among the other NDC members that trooped to the actor’s resident was, Nana Oye Lithur, Ade Coker and Kumawood actor Clement Bonney also known as Mr. Beautiful.
Super OD was a comic force in the film and television industry, especially in the 1970s to the 90s.
He gained popularity when he worked with the drama troupe, Oppong Drama Group, which was later renamed to the Osofo Dadzie Group.
One of the highlights of his career was his stellar performance in the local TV series, Akan Drama.
