Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama is an American lawyer and writer, who is best known for being the wife of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama which makes her the first African-American First Lady in the country.
The former first couple and Chance the Rapper spoke on the final day of the Obama Foundation Summit, where Chicago was the focus.
The couple said that they will continue to serve the city that saw them group up.
The former president said:
‘This the city that taught me that I could have an impact and I want to give that back to all the amazing young people who are just as talented, just as smart, just as able, they just need a chance.’
And Michelle shared the lessons she learned growing up on the south side.
‘Do what you say you're gonna do. To be honest and true, to treat people with dignity and respect. And to make your life useful and define that usefulness as broadly as you can. Those words guide me. And they led me to Barack Obama who reminded me very much of my own father in his decency in his honesty and his compassion.’
