- Nana Addo begins a familiarity tour of the Greater Accra region
- The 3-day tour will see the president also visit the Tema harbour
President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is kick-starting a tour in the Greater Accra region as part of plans to engage Ghanaians after he took office in January.
The tour will run for 3 days with the township of Abossey Okai being his first point of call. This follows similar tours of the Western, Ashanti, Northern, Volta, Upper West and Upper East regions.
Nana Addo is also expected to end his tour at the Tema Harbour, where he will inspect the port expansion project and the paperless system introduced in September.
The president will thus end the tour with a durbar at the Teshie Presby Park for the chiefs and people of La, Teshie, and Nungua.
This familiarity tour is to aid Nana Addo to come face to face with the progress made by his administration since they took office on January 7th.
