- Allotey Jacobs says President Mahama will surely win the 2020 elections
- He says Ghanaians are not happy with Akufo-Addo administration
The Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Bernard Allotey Jacobs is alleging that Ghanaians have seriously regretted voting President Akufo-Addo to power.
According to the NDC man, his interaction with some electorates in the Central Region proves that many Ghanaians are disgruntled over the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
The NDC Chairman who was speaking on Accra-based Peace FM, insisted that many Ghanaians are beginning to realize that not all that glitters is gold, only a few months into the Nana Addo administration.
Allotey Jacobs maintained that massive support showed to President Mahama and the NDC over the weekend at the party’s Unity Walk, is a clear indication that the party will return to power in 2020 elections.
He also disclosed that President Mahama through the Unity Walk spent quality time and interacted with ordinary Ghanaians who complained bitterly about the Akufo-Addo administration.
"This means that we are now back again. This gives us comfort that in 2020 things will go well with us and that is the signal", he said.
The former president used the Unity Walk to launch fresh attacks on the Akufo-Addo administration describing the recently launched Ghana Post GPS address system as ‘419’ scam.
He also accused the NPP administration of spending large sums of tax-payers' money on the fraudulent address project which he claims is freely available on Google for everyone's use.
