- Tamale Central MP says Kufour government also sold large portions of land.
- Hon. Inusah Fuseini's comments are in response to the Lands Minister's recent comment concerning the sale of state-owned land.
- He says the sale of state-owned land didn't only occur under NDC governments
Former Minister of Lands under the John Dramani Mahama led government administration, Hon. Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, has responded to Hon. John Peter Amewu, the current Land's Minister's comment that portions of land were sold by the erstwhile administration like "Kele Wele".
Days ago it was reported that the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Hon. John Peter Amewu, stated that under the former government, portions of state-owned land were sold out like "Kele Wele", for ridiculously low prices.
Furthermore, Hon. John Peter Amewu is of the opinion that some of the doled out portions of land were sold illegally, hinting at the need for an investigation into the matter to be opened.

Now responding to Lands Minister Amewu's comments, Hon. Inusah Fuseini, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central constituency, said that prior to taking up office in 2009, the John Agyekum Kufour led administration had done much worse.
“The NPP during Kufour’s time rather sold lands like toffees and so I’m shocked to hear Amewu accusing us. During my tenure I had so many NPP members coming to me for state lands but I refused and rather directed them to the lands commission.
I won’t mention names but I expect Amewu to add those names to his list. I introduced discipline during my tenure and I think the NPP only want to vilify NDC,” he related.
