According to him, all the artistes who won the ‘Artiste Of The Year’ award from 2013 till 2017 know he is the true winner.
He added that it was wrong for them to believe they worked hard enough for it.
Shatta Wale made these statements in an interview with Dr Pounds on Hitz Gallery.
He went ahead to say that he is better then and now, compared to all those who won the awards.
“Ghanaians know I have set a record regardless. I would have copped it five years on the row. We don’t have to hide the truth from the young ones coming…” Shatta Wale maintained.
Shatta Wale took the opportunity to thank president Nana Akufo-Addo for extending an invitation to visit him at the Flagstaff House.
“It was such a great honour to meet the president. The feeling was great…”, he remarked.
He went on to say that Ghanaian musicians ought to support the ‘Unity Agenda’, so that the country could be placed on the international map.
Meanwhile, Shatta urged fellow Ghanaian musicians to support the ‘Unity Agenda’ to put Ghana on the international map.
“We need everyone’s support. We should try and be truthful to matters that are important to us. We need to have one mind to support the agenda. We need to better the future…” he maintained.
