Sensational Ghana highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena, has criticized his fellow musicians saying they are not creative.
According to the ‘Adult Music’ hit maker, the lack of creativity of these musicians makes their stay in the industry short and forgettable.
In an interview on Hitz FM, Kwabena Kwabena decried the rate at which the majority of musicians are only interested in releasing ‘singles’ instead of albums.
This, he said, does not help with the growth of the Ghana Music Industry locally and internationally.
Using Patapaa's 'One Corner' and Captain Planet's latest ‘Obi Agye Obi Girl’ as examples, Kwabena Kwabena opined that singles fade away easily leaving the musician with nothing to be remembered for.
“Now where is the ‘One Corner’ song? Currently ‘Obi Agye Obi girl’ is all over the place. That will also pass soon like ‘One Corner’,” he said.
Kwabena Kwabena further advised musicians and producers to work hard at producing authentic Ghanaian songs.
This, he said will prolong the musicians stay in the Ghana music scene and propel them to the global stage.
“As artiste we need to work harder. We need to come produce creative works that will make us last as artistes to keep the industry going”, he said.
The ‘Bue Kwan Mami’ singer also advised music producers to produce albums that will have a lasting impression on their on their fans.
