-College professors are so passionate about teaching that they don't mind low wages
-The two dons are homeless but will never miss going to class because of their situation
-One of the professors lives in his car while the other lives out of a van in a parking lot
It has emerged that a number of college professors are silently suffering because of low wages but refuse to give up teaching. Two American professors in particular have left many in shock.
Professor Ellen James-Penney and Professor Michelle Mitchell are both homeless. But they continue to teach despite their deplorable living conditions.
Ellen, an English professor at San Jose State University in California, US, reportedly lives in her car because she can't afford a home. And she is not proud of it.
“You have no idea how I feel, sitting in the back of a car with a headlamp on grading papers,” she disclosed to Inside Edition.
Professor Mitchell, on the other hand, lives outside a van stationed in a parking lot. The professor of religion at Florida's Broward College keeps all her belongings in the van.
Each of the two dons reportedly makes about Ghc106k annually, but the low wages have never stopped these professors from teaching. Not even being homeless can deter them from doing what they love most.
