About two weeks ago, Samini sent a tweet to the president asking that the gesture given to Shatta Wale should be extended to him as well.

He is not the only one who looks forward to the Flagstaff House invitation; Stonebowy also expressed that hope in a similar tweet.

Speaking on Joy FM, Samini expressed worry over ‘the delay’ in getting a response from the President concerning his tweet.

He said he suspects that his tweet went missing from the President’s twitter timeline because since he tweeted, no response has come.

Samini however stated that just like Stonebowy’s tweet that has not yielded any results, it could be that his tweet just got vanished from the president’s timeline.

He comforted himself with the hope that the president might not have been online at the time that he (Samini) tweeted.

“It is possible that the tweet just got vanished from the president’s timeline just like Stonebwoy’s tweet because the two of us have still not received a response from the President yet,” Samini said.

“I also understand that maybe the President was not on twitter the day I tweeted,” he added.

The Ghanaian dancehall heavyweight nonetheless insisted that even if the President has personally not seen his tweet, he would have been notified by other sources therefore he expects to hear from him soon on the matter.

He believes that he is an achiever and so deserves to be invited as well.

He expressed optimism that such a visit will boost his already established brand.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Shatta Wale was invited to the Flagstaff House by Akufo-Addo, after the president wished him happy birthday on Twitter.

Shatta Wale, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah, happens to be the first musician to be honoured by a president in that way.

Following his visit, other musicians have expressed the desire to meet the President, too; Samini and Stonebowy included.
